Timeline: 88664.0

From his Ready Room aboard the USS Phoenix, Captain Syntron received a subspace transmission from Hromi Sector Fleet Command. He engaged it as the screen first displayed the UFP emblem before switching to the message.

You are hereby called to duty. All officers and crew to report for departure in the next seventy-two hours. Each ship has received personnel and supplies, full refits or repairs and mission orders.

You are ordered to resume charting and exploring of the newly established first sector of the Azimuth Horizon universe

Rear Admiral Kotari

Commanding Officer

Hromi Sector

Since their return back from the Azimuth Horizon portal, there have been numerous changes aboard the USS Phoenix. Most notably, the first officer was reassigned along with the chief engineer: each going their own direction according to orders. Despite the months that have passed, the Phoenix is still lacking key personnel; but this has been a pattern since its launch to varying degrees.

Syntron disengaged the terminal, exited the room and headed for the center seat. He glanced around the bridge for a moment before engaging ship-wide communication.

"This is the captain. Orders have been sent for us to continue exploration of the Azimuth Horizon universe. Departure will occur in precisely three days from this time. Department heads, confirm that all personnel and materials are present and account for prior to this time. Captain out."

It didn't take long before his comm channel beeped again. The soft, musical voice that was heard could only belong to one being in the whole Federation.

"Captain, Lieutenant Livingstone here; science department is fully loaded and manned. We are currently rechecking all sensors with a level 2 diagnostic and updating the computer banks with the latest data from Memory Alpha and our own research from our first survey into the Azimuth Horizon universe. Full complement of probes has been visually confirmed. We shall be fully ready for departure in twenty-eight hours, forty-seven minutes."

Following that report the comm channel beeped again. Unlike the previous report the voice coming through was not soft, and no one would ever call it musical.

"Captain, this is Doctor Gray. Medical is manned and ready. All shift schedules have been sorted and sickbay is stocked and ready to go."
