A New Dawn

The USS Alsea, repaired and refited after her exploits in the Azimuth Horizon crisis, is ready for it's first deep space testing prior to returning to active duty.

A Little Border Dispute

The impossible has happened; from the shattered Romulan Star Empire comes a call that the Federation cannot ignore... and neither the warring remnants of the Empire. With even the centuries old Treaty of the Neutral Zone in dispute, any move out there might spark a war that neither side would be able to afford... yet which neither could avoid if things went sour.

To answer this delicate and volatile situation, a Starfleet depleted by the Borg War and stretched thin between it's vast borders cannot  send a task force and a team of experienced diplomats. Even the flagship of Lotus Fleet is unavailable. But there is one ship near enough and suited well enough to attempt facing this situation: the Prometheus class USS Alsea, under the command of the newly promoted Captain Jureth Oseno, the man who succeeded initiating the current peace with the Undine in the midst of all the fireworks and tension of Operation Horizon.

With a newly selected crew, the Alsea launches, knowing the troubles they are about to face. But the question is: will they be ready for what surprises might lurk in these troubled waters?
