One thing I would like to note about the post is that while it is titled "Galaxy map" it does not even begin to show the whole Milky Way galaxy (approx 100,000 LY wide), but rather just the "Local Space" or "Known Space", which is only 1500 LY wide (actually the detailed map is only about 500LY square, the map in the top-right corner is 1500 LY.
This map, while not as detailed, shows the entire Galaxy and the four quadrants and even identifies the 1500 LY "Local Space" within it.

I also used that one for the edge of the galaxy maiden voyage of the Horizon. :)
