Sarah was raised by her mother, Clare and her grandparents, David and Linda Bonus whom showered her with love and helped guide her way. In school she was very active in sports and track and often found herself helping out by breaking up fights. Unlike her mother, the oposite sex held no attraction for her as her mind was always on what she wanted to do when she grew up. There was times when she felt conflicted by her emotions but mostly she was as normal as the other children. Before finishing highschool she was already looking into several options that suited her well. Her reflexes were relatively faster then most others and she was moderatly stronger and had a love of keeping things in order and helping others. She thought about a navy position but discarded it because she wanted something that would make more of a diffrence. Her mother made a diffrence in her own way at the very hospital she had meet her father Anthony at and that was good for her but Lia wanted a bigger challenge. She finally settled on going to Star Fleet Accademy for security. With this she could make a positive change in things and get to travel if she so desired. It was just the thing to challenge her and use her assets to the best she could be and make a diffrence in others lives. By the time she was 18 she had finished Highschool and entered Star Fleet Academy for security. She was very suprised when she reached the academy as there was many diffrent types of people there, more then a few she had only read about. It was the first time she had become interested in the oposite sex and made some new and interesting friends. She took the time to hang out with others in her class and get to know them and learn from them about their culture and back grounds. Things went rather well for her at the academy and she learned a lot and knew she had made the right decision for her life. She had never knew her father but through those she meet at the academy she learned what he was like. She graduated first in her class and was delighted when she was asked if she would like to take a position in security on a budding new star base called starbase 17. She thought it over a few moments and decided it sounded like a perfect start to a new life with plenty of challenge for her and said yes. Lia had just two weeks to spend with her mother and grandparents before shipping out for her new post in security on Starbase 17 and they were well spent with lots of love and crying but no one tried to stop her from doing what she felt was right for herself and they were very proud of her and made her promise to contact them as often as she could.

This course is designed to give Starfleet cadets an idea on how to handle Security situations when they are not within reach of Starfleet Command.
Early Starfleet History:
A course that tests cadets on their knowledge of Starfleet history. One of many topics covered is the first five-year mission of the USS Enterprise. Shortly before returning to the Alpha Quadrant, then Captain Kathryn Janeway taught this course to Icheb as part of his Academy distance educational studies
Desert and Arctic Survival:
This course gives Cadets the basic knowledge on how to survive in Desert and Arctic Enviroments.
